Life Legacy
Richard Frank Ronston of Dover died Monday January 9, 2012 at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. He was 74.
Mr. Ronston was born October 14, 1937 in Bronx, New York to the late John Ronston and Rose Doronthaler Ronston. He received his BA & MBA degrees from NYU – Stern.
He served in the United States Army. Mr. Ronston had worked in Insurance Finance and Sales for New England Finance retiring in 2005. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Dover, the Knights of Columbus, Dover Stamp Club and the bridge club at Modern Maturity Center. Mr. Ronston enjoyed being with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Elizabeth Anne Ronston of Dover; children, Patricia Veech of Santa Fe, NM, Rich Ronston, Jr. of Ashburn, VA, Elizabeth Marie Ronston of Richmond, VA, John Ronston of St. Louis, MO, Susan Marie Zeikowitz of Commack, NY, Holly Patricia Rowley of Massapequa Park, NY, John A. Pinto, Jr. of Bethpage, NY and Eric J. Pinto of Levittown, NY; sister, Joanne Thompson and her husband Robert of Massapequa Park, NY; eight grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11am, Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 631 S. State Street, Dover, DE. Friends may call from 6-8 Friday evening at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover.
