Charles Robert Warrington

Charles Robert “Bob” Warrington of Dover, died Monday October 3, 2011 at Kent General Hospital. He was 72.

He was born December 3, 1938 in Dover, Delaware.

Mr. Warrington served 41 years in the Army National Guard obtaining the rank of Sgt. Major before retiring in 1995. He enjoyed salt water fishing, sports, especially football on all levels, college and professional, avid Baltimore Ravens fan. Mr. Warrington loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren, and many dear friends.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by step father, George Balderson, 1987 and father in law Lee Leslie, 1991.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Jean Helen Warrington of Dover; daughter, Lisa Martino and her husband Phillip of Dover; brother, Everett “Sonny” Warrington and his wife Nora of St. Augustine, Fl; sister, Kay Peer and her husband John of Leipsic, DE; grandchildren, Hillary, Nicholas and Heather Martino; goddaughter, Roberta Littlefield and her husband Jon of Wyoming; five nephews; and his mother in law, Mary Leslie of Dover.

Funeral services will be held 11am, Friday October 7, 2011 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 92 Reads Way # 205, New Castle, DE 19720-1633.
