Life Legacy
Samon Porter of Dover passed away peacefully Wednesday April 28, 2010 at home. She was 56.
Mrs. Porter was born January 1, 1954. She was a native of Amphoe Pen, Udorn Thailand.
She had left her native homeland to settle in the United States in 1972. Mrs. Porter was a hard worker and worked at Conagra/Perdue for 23 years, then as a cook at Thai Style Restaurant for 3 years. She was a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be remembered for her kind heart and great Thai cuisine.
Mrs. Porter is survived by her husband of 38 years, Edwin L. Porter of Dover; two children, Brian J. Porter of Fairhaven, VT and Mary E. Stare and her husband Carl of Dover; a grandson, Adam A. Stare of Dover; her sisters, Koon Suanchairob, and Juan; brothers, Moon, and Luangban Eksiri all in Thailand; many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held 12:30pm Saturday May 1, 2010 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover.
