Biography

Donald Enoch Attix of Dover died Monday February 22, 2010 at Kent General Hospital. He was 76.

Mr. Attix was born March 1, 1933 in Dover, Delaware to the late Earl Attix and Mary Masten Attix.

He served in the United States Army. Mr. Attix was a farmer on his own farm. He enjoyed Nascar racing, horse racing and loved teasing his grandchildren. Mr. Attix was a member of Silver Lake Fishing Club.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Isabel Jarman.

Mr. Attix is survived by his wife of 49 years, Gloria Carney Attix of Dover; three children, Susie Johnson and her husband Frank, Donald Attix, Jr. and his wife Donna and Tammy Caldwell and her husband Mike all of Dover; brothers, Billy Attix and his wife Ellen of Dover, Gilbert Attix and his wife Janet and Robert Attix and his wife Carol all of Clayton; sisters, Emily Woodall and her husband Jesse of Harrington, Thelma Pryor, Mary Joan Pratt and her husband Wright, Clara Marie Gravett all of Dover; grandchildren, Frankie, T.J. Nicky, Danny, Tina, Krista, Kyle, Ashley and Mikayla; great grandchildren, Sean, Chelsea, Heaven, Daniel, Jr. Chloe, Christian, Emma and on the way.

Funeral services will be held 11am Saturday February 27, 2010 at Immanuel United Methodist Church, 756 Main Street, Cheswold, De 19936. Friends may call Friday evening from 6-8pm and on Saturday 1 hour prior to service. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
