Brady M. Abbott, Jr. of Dover died Tuesday October 20, 2009 in his home. He was 68.
Mr. Abbott was born August 6, 1941 in Dover, Delaware to the late Brady M. Abbott, Sr. and Mary Virginia Hickman Abbott.
He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the United States Army. Mr. Abbott had worked as a residential electrician for Paul Nichols & Company for many years, he had also worked for O.B. Williams and Kent Sign Company. Mr. Abbott was a member of the American Legion Walter L. Fox Post #2, 40 & 8 of Delaware and was a life member of the Camden VFW Post #3238. He was very well known for and loved being Abe Lincoln in the 4th of July Parade in Dover.
Mr. Abbott was preceded in death by his two daughters, Tina 1979 and Wendy 1997, his brother Elmer Abbott and sister, Elsie Perrault.
He is survived by his wife, Bernice Bolduc Abbott of Dover; daughter, Brenda Dill and her husband Dennis of Dover; two brothers, William Abbott of Felton and Richard Abbott of Dover; his grandson, Steven Lentz, Jr.; two granddaughters, Heather and Kerri Dill; four great grandsons, Ian, Tabbin, Frank, Jr. and Landon; nieces and nephews Tabitha Abbott and Crystal Krasulak, Theresa Nottingham, William Abbott, Jr., Richard Abbott, Jr.
Funeral services will be held 2pm Sunday October 25, 2009 at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford Street, Dover, DE. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be Monday 2pm at Delaware Veterans Cemetery, RD5, 100 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE 19966.
